Cottar’s 1920s Safari Camp

Cottar’s 1920s Camp is a luxury safari camp located in the private 7,608-acre Olderkesi Conservancy, adjacent to Kenya's Maasai Mara and Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. Run by Africa’s oldest established safari family, the camp offers a nostalgic 1920s safari experience with modern comforts. With over a century of safari heritage, the Cottar family focuses on authentic, personalized safaris that emphasize conservation, community, and cultural integrity. Guests stay in elegant canvas tents reminiscent of the 1920s, guided by some of Africa’s most highly qualified professionals.

Cottar’s 1920s Camp features eleven cream-canvas tents styled after the 1920s, including five luxury double tents, four spacious family tents, and two romantic honeymoon tents. Each tent is positioned for privacy and tranquility, catering to both couples and families. The camp includes two main mess tents for fine dining and relaxation, along with a pool and spa for unwinding after safaris. Guests can experience a unique canvas safari bath on their tent verandah, overlooking the plains. The camp’s prime location offers access to both the Maasai Mara and Olderkesi Conservancy for day and night game drives, guided wildlife walks, and cultural experiences with the Maasai community.
